A powerful demon from Barzakh, Adro comes to Earth to feed on the grief of Doctor Sylvester after the death of Miss Knightsdale. She ravages the town of Georgia and Harlem before eventually being defeated by the Sangerye family.

First Appearance[edit]
Adro first appears after the death of Miss Knightsdale. She appears before Doctor Sylvester in his grief and tells him that she has been reborn, and can aid him in his revenge against the Sangerye family. First, they must become more powerful than ever. In order to do this, Adro takes Doctor Sylvester on a trip to Georgia, where she feeds off the grief and anger of villagers who have had their children lynched.
Eventually, Doctor Sylvester questions the evils he has unleashed on the world with his summoning of Adro. He decides that he must aid the villagers in escaping from her and more generally, help the Sangerye family defeat Adro. Adro is furious when Doctor Slyvester turns on her but she is unable to stop him from contacting the Sangerye family in Harlem.
Defeat[edit]
After a long period of releasing further evils upon the world — including the Jinoo and Inzondo — Adro comes face-to-face with Doctor Sylvester and the Sangerye family once more. A fight breaks out and Adro kills Jonnie-Ray Knox. Once more, Doctor Sylvester questions what he has done and, when a Gateway opens, he pulls both himself and Adro through. The two end up in Barzakh, and Adro is presumably defeated.
